Applicant service
As in Europe, the presence of a reporting body is also essential for EAC countries.
The declaring entity, or applicant, is a legal entity registered in the territory of the Customs Union that guarantees the certified products.
In fact, the declaring body is responsible for the conformity of certified products and must be available for requests or complaints from end users.
This role can be filled by a company with a Russian registered name: it could therefore be a distributor or direct customer of the foreign manufacturer or a company providing the service, such as Expert Cert.
Expert Cert can act as your product certification body, issuing the required number of authorizations to allow you to expand your sales network in EAC countries freely and without limitations.
IN THE FIRST CASE
That is, with the distributor/customer as the applicant — the latter will be the channel through which the certified goods must be imported into the EAC territory; it will therefore also be able to grant (or deny) authorizations for use to other companies with which the producers wish to collaborate.
IN THE SECOND CASE
That is, with Expert Cert or a certification body as the applicant — the manufacturer can avoid the conflict of interest that would arise in the first case.
